About:
Alyssia-Abbigail Medeiros is a highly experienced figure skater with over 13 years in competitive skating and a strong background in coaching. She has earned several accolades, including the Skate Canada C.O.S. STARSkate Athlete of the Year Award and the Leaside Skating Club’s Athlete of the Year Award. She was Skate Ontario's Provincial Silver Medalist in 2018, representing the Leaside Skating Club. Alyssia is committed to helping others achieve their skating goals.
Her coaching experience includes serving as a Coaching Program Assistant at the West Toronto Skating Club from January 2015 to March 2017, where she contributed over 50 hours to assisting coaches, supporting program delivery, and leading practice sessions. She also worked as a Learn to Skate Instructor at the Harbourfront Centre from November 2021 to February 2022, where she organized lessons and ensured safety and adherence to program standards.
Alyssia currently holds CanSkate Coach In-Training status and is certified in Emergency First Aid with CPR/AED Level C. Her degree in Video Design & Production from George Brown College has further honed her skills in communication, project management, and creativity, which she applies to her dynamic and engaging coaching approach.
