Bronze Sessions
Bronze is the first level of our youth STARSkate program for skaters working with a private coach. Skaters begin working on STAR 1 and STAR 2 while learning to balance private lessons with independent practice. Bronze Sessions provide skaters with the opportunity to develop their FreeSkate, Skills, and Dance while building the independence and confidence needed for continued progression through the STARSkate program.
Requirements:
- Successfully completed CanSkate Stage 6 (all three Stage 6 ribbons)
- Working on STAR 1–2
- Private coach required
- Ages 18 and under
- Skaters remain in Bronze until completing STAR 2 in its entirety, including the program

Program Features:
- Private coaching

- Recommended minimum of 2 sessions per week
Attire:
- Leggings/skating skirt/dress
- Fitted, breathable clothing
- Long hair tied back (off face)
- Water Bottle
- Skate Guards
- No Hoodies
- Sharpened skates!
Assessments:
All STAR 1–5 assessments are completed during regular skating sessions with your private coach. Your coach will notify you when you are ready to be assessed. Once confirmed, assessment fees can be paid through the club prior to the assessment.

STAR 1-5:
The STAR 1-5 program offers the best-in-class figure skating curriculum in Canada, targeting athletes looking for a future in the sport. Taught by Skate Canada NCCP coaches, the program introduces participants to the basic figure skating elements to create the foundation for singles, pairs, ice dance and synchronized skating.
All skaters in this program must have passed CanSkate Stage 6 or equivalent.
