Silver Sessions
Silver Sessions are part of our youth STARSkate program and are designed for skaters progressing through STAR 3 and STAR 4. Skaters continue working with their private coach while developing more advanced technical skills and preparing for higher-level assessments and competitions.
Requirements:
- Successfully completed STAR 2 in its entirety, including the program
- Working on STAR 3–4
- Private coach required
- Ages 21 and under
- Skaters remain in Silver until completing STAR 4 in its entirety, including the program

Program Features:
- Private coaching
- Independent practice between lessons
- Off-ice training opportunities
- Recommended minimum of 3 sessions per week
Attire:
- Leggings/skating skirt/dress
- Fitted, breathable clothing
- Long hair tied back (off face)
- Water Bottle
- Skate Guards
- No Hoodies
- Sharpened skates!
Assessments:
STAR 1–5 assessments are completed during regular skating sessions with your private coach.
STAR 6 through Gold/Diamond assessments are completed at a scheduled Test Day with a Skate Canada Judge. Test Day Info

STAR 1-5:
The STAR 1-5 program offers the best-in-class figure skating curriculum in Canada, targeting athletes looking for a future in the sport. Taught by Skate Canada NCCP coaches, the program introduces participants to the basic figure skating elements to create the foundation for singles, pairs, ice dance and synchronized skating.
All skaters in this program must have passed CanSkate Stage 6 or equivalent. Skaters may be any age. Adaptive skaters who have the required skating ability welcome.
STAR 6- GOLD
STAR 6- Gold is an assessment and event structure for skaters who completed the STAR 1-5 Program. This structure builds on the skills acquired in STAR 1-5 and introduces skaters to more advanced figure skating elements.
