First Day Checklist

Welcome to the East York Skating Club! We can't wait to see you on the ice.

Please remember to arrive at least 15 minutes early.

Parents/Guardians must remain in the arena for the duration of the Pre-CanSkate session.

1. Enter through the main doors on the south-west side of the building. You will be greeted at the sign-in desk, where you'll sign in, receive your skater's name tag sticker, and an equipment check will be completed. Once the equipment check is complete, you'll receive a sticker to place on your skater's helmet.
2. After signing in, head downstairs and use any available dressing room to get your skater ready.
3. Parents/guardians are required to remain in the arena for the entire session.
4. The designated entrance and exit for parents/guardians will be posted at the sign-in desk.
5. After skating, remember to dry your skates thoroughly with a cloth and use soft fabric skate guards for storage. Hard skate guards are essential when walking to and from the ice but should be removed afterward, as leaving them on overnight can cause the blades to rust.
