East York Skating Club is excited to announce that we will be having a Competition Simulation Day on Wednesday, November 20th
Time TBD
2023 Infomation:
Skaters who are competing in the following are encouraged to take part
- Skate Ontario Provincial Series
- Synchro Provincial Series
- STAR 1-4 Series
The purpose of the simulation is for our skaters to perform their solos on open ice as a test run-through before they enter the competitive season. Skaters will have a group warm-up similar to a competition prior to performing their solo. Coaches are encouraged to attend the practice with their skaters. Our skaters will be starting to compete as early as the end of November so we hope to see all our competitive skaters attending the simulation!
We also have a special performance from our coaches Shane & Caro who will be performing their Senior Rhythm Dance!
Please bring cash as we will be having a bake sale!
Practice & Schedule:
There will be a group practice session prior to the simulation.
- STAR 2-4 skaters will have a practice from 4:10-4:40 pm
- STAR 5 and up skaters will have a practice from 4:40-5:10 pm.
Please check in with your coaches to see if you qualify to skate.
A schedule has to emailed to those participating.
Registration:
If you regularly skate on the 4:10 pm Silver/Gold or 5:20 pm Bronze/Silver, you have not paid ice time for this day and we are happy to announce that there will be no fee for this simulation day!
Registration will open on October 16th and will close on October 31.
What to Wear:
Skaters are encouraged to wear their competition outfits/dresses as well as their East York Skating Club jackets. If you do not have an East York Skating Jacket, you will be able to order one through the club. Jacket sample sizes will be available the week of October 16th. Please check your emails for more information.
Hope to see you all there! If you are not taking part in the simulation please feel free to attend to cheer on your fellow East York Skaters and to see what the next step is after STAR 1 for a competitive figure skater or synchronized skater in our club.
