Ice Show FAQ
1. When and where can I pick up my skater’s costume?
This year, costumes will be rented. A full schedule and details for costume pickup and drop-off will be posted soon. Costume pickup will take place in early to mid-April. Stay tuned for updates!
2. When should my skater arrive at the arena?
Dress Rehearsal – April 25th @ 5:00 PM
- All skaters & volunteers must arrive by 5:00 PM
- Dressing room volunteers should arrive earlier than 5:00 PM
- Rehearsal is expected to end around 7:30 PM
Show #1 – April 25th @ 7:30 PM
- Volunteers arrive: 6:15 PM
- Skaters in the first half arrive: 6:30 PM
- Skaters in the second half arrive: 7:00 PM
Show #2 – April 26th @ 1:30 PM
- Volunteers arrive: 12:15 PM
- Skaters in the first half arrive: 12:30 PM
- Skaters in the second half arrive: 1:00 PM
Show #3 – April 26th @ 7:00 PM
- Volunteers arrive: 5:45 PM
- Skaters in the first half arrive: 6:00 PM
- Skaters in the second half arrive: 6:30 PM
Volunteers may bring their skater with them when they arrive (75 minutes before the show).
Doors open 30 minutes before showtime for non-skaters and non-volunteers.
Important: Skaters must remain in the dressing rooms under parent-volunteer supervision for the entire show. If a skater performs in the first half and needs to leave early, they can be picked up at intermission from the East Doors.
3. Where is drop-off and pick-up?
Location: East End Doors (back of the arena, near the baseball field)
- Skaters will be escorted to the dressing rooms.
- Volunteers bringing their skaters may enter through the main doors during their shift.
- Otherwise, all skaters must enter & exit through the East Doors.
4. Can I park in the arena parking lot?
No, except for those with accessibility passes. Please plan ahead! Parking is available at:
- Side streets around the arena
- Curling club
- Local public school
- Shopper’s Drug Mart at Woodbine & O’Connor
5. When does my skater perform?
All skaters perform in all three shows and must attend all rehearsals and the Dress Rehearsal. The show schedule is:
- Friday evening
- Saturday afternoon
- Saturday evening
6. Can my skater leave after they have skated?
Skaters may only leave at intermission if they have already performed. Early pick-up happens at the East Doors (back of the arena near the baseball diamond).
Reminder: There is a Grand Finale at the end of each show where all skaters take the ice for a final bow and celebration—don’t miss it!
7. Are there keepsakes available?
Yes! Here’s what you can grab to remember this special event:

Flowers & Stuffies – Buy one to toss onto the ice for your skater during the Grand Finale.

8. Will there be snacks available?
Yes! Concessions will be sold at all shows, including chips, popcorn, candy, and drinks. A cart will also come downstairs so skaters can purchase snacks from the dressing rooms.
Skaters may bring their own snacks, but they must be nut-free!
9. Can I visit my skater during the show?
No. To keep the show running smoothly and support our volunteers, skaters must stay in the dressing rooms for the full show. They will be well taken care of and having a blast backstage!
